Thank you for considering to volunteer for Sew Much Comfort. All of our volunteers are very important to us. Without our volunteers, Sew Much Comfort would not be possible.
We rely on, and greatly value the generosity and support of our volunteers so that we can continue to provide adaptive clothing and comfort accessories FREE of charge to our injured returning from current conflicts. To date volunteer efforts have helped us provide 122,000 pieces of adaptive clothing and comfort accessories to our wounded.
Although we no longer hear on the TV or read in the paper the number of wounded returning, the numbers are actually increasing from Afghanistan. Please help Sew Much Comfort continue its mission by providing FREE adaptive clothing to replace the ill-fitting hospital gown. Our clothing allows them to wear normal looking clothing that adequately covers their injuries which gives them visual respite from their wounds which leads to enhanced comfort and dignity.
The sewing skills required are intermediate level sewing proficiency. Signing up to sew involves making a commitment to sew on a regular basis.
